Beaches

Where the land meets the sea.12 Kilometers (7.5 miles) of crystalline, blue water blending seamlessly with the sky. An endless expanse of clean white sand inviting you to take long walks along the seashore. On the other side, 624 hectares (1542 acres) of sand dunes rising up like ramparts in the landscape. The Nature in its purest state.

In Winter or Summer the beaches of Herdade da Comporta are the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here, only the sea breeze knows the secret of finding the perfect spot.

Along the coast there are 3 beaches classified as bathing beaches – Comporta beach, Pego beach and Carvalhal beach. They are all environmentally certified and have Blue Flag and Accessible Beach quality seals enabling people with reduced mobility to enjoy the pleasures of beach life.
