The summer of 2012 was a normal one for the region, although higher temperatures were recorded in July, with a heat wave. In September, air temperatures were above
normal (1971-2000). As far as rainfall was concerned, in the first three weeks of the month, the amounts recorded were very low or even zero. However, in the last week of September, a significant amount of rain fell.
Winemaking The winemaking was done exclusively in small lagars (very shallow, open vats), with temperature control. The wine, treated minimally and gently, was matured in Allier oak barrels, and was then further aged in bottle.
