Temperature The Vineyard Year
The summer of 2014 was normal in our region, with higher than average temperatures in July and only one heat wave. Average air temperatures in the month of August were
below normal, and it was a dry month as far as rainfall was concerned. The white grapes ripened well, with all components in good balance. They were picked from August 17th to
early September. Average monthly air temperatures for September were above the normal for 1971 to 2000. As for rainfall, September was extremely rainy, 9 time the average,
especially in the last 20 days of the month.
Winemaking The grapes were pressed and the juice fermented at 14ºC in small tanks. We combined our best Arinto with the Viognier from the new vineyard.
